This month, KRCrossing Consulting turns ten.

Before I started KRC, I spent over 20 years in global retail operations. I managed store construction programs at Cole Haan across the U.S. and internationally. I oversaw 101 locations under eight banners at Wolverine Worldwide. I served as President of a $20 million consumer products company. I built stores in London, Hong Kong and Dubai. I led teams across real estate, construction, facilities, and operations.

I learned a tremendous amount. And then I decided to take everything I knew and build something of my own.

In April 2016, KRCrossing Consulting was born. A company where every decision reflects our values, our standards, and our commitment to the people we work with.

Built by Referrals, Grown by Trust

For the first five years, I ran every project personally. One client led to a referral. A general contractor I worked with introduced me to a brand they thought I could help. That brand brought another.

Thirty years of global operations experience. Ten years of building KRC.

That pattern has defined our growth ever since. Every client relationship we have today started with someone saying, "You should call Michele." Our general contractors refer us because they value how we run a project. Our clients refer us because they trust us with their brand. That trust is something we protect with every decision we make.

Today, we have managed more than 1000 store transformations across some of the most recognized customer-facing brands in the country.

A Family Business

KRC is a family business. Rich, my older son, joined as Senior Project Manager. He had been helping behind the scenes for a while, and in 2022 he came on full time. In 2024, Michael came on board as Project Manager. Ken, my younger son, brings financial strategy to the team.

Together, we are the leadership team of KRC. We also work with a strong group of external partners who extend our capabilities as we grow. That's intentional. We build the team around the work, and we grow at a pace that protects our standards.

We are also in the process of becoming a certified women-owned business. That application is underway, and it matters to us.

The Next Ten Years

What I'm most proud of is this: we have built a company where every decision is ours.

We choose our clients carefully. We grow strategically. We invest in the tools, training, and onboarding that set our team up to succeed. And we are beginning to use our strength to give back through philanthropic work that aligns with who we are.

The vision for the next ten years is simple. Keep doing this. Keep growing with intention. Keep earning the referrals. Keep making decisions that reflect our values.

To our clients, our partners, and our team: thank you for ten years. We're building for the next ten.

Structure, clarity, and accountability. That's what we built KRC on. That's what the next ten years will be built on too.
